From starting in data entry to leading today in HR and client services, she has embraced every opportunity to learn, evolve, and support the team. Stephanie not only drives efficiency and innovation but also mentors with a people-first approach that strengthens NSB’s culture and future.
Stephanie first learned about NSB through a former coworker who encouraged her to apply. At the time, she was working at a downsized company where she was often alone in the office. The chance to join a growing organization and work with a team again felt like the right next step.
“It was appealing to me to work for a company in the same industry, having co-workers again, and for a company that showed signs of potential growth,” she shared.
Since then, she has embraced roles in office management, sales, client services, and human resources, each step adding new skills and perspective. That willingness to take on new challenges has shaped not only her career but also the way she leads others at NSB.
When asked about a standout moment in her career, Stephanie recalls helping close a major contract that continues to make an impact today.
“I remember participating in closing on a big contract. I believe my involvement and knowledge positively influenced the closure of the contract. Eight years later I still have a good working relationship with this client,”
It’s a milestone that highlights both her expertise and her commitment to lasting client relationships.
Managing a diverse team has given Stephanie many opportunities to mentor and coach others. It’s one of her favorite aspects of leadership.
“Managing a team of multiple team members gives me a lot of experience in mentoring and helping them grow in their current role and expand into higher-level positions. That is one of the things I love about my job,”
Watching team members gain confidence and embrace new challenges is especially rewarding as they take on added responsibilities and grow professionally.
Daily communication is a major point of Stephanie’s leadership style.
“Every morning, I meet with my team for a quick check-in. This creates an environment for open communication to share ideas, questions, or concerns,”
These touchpoints give her team space to ask for help and stay aligned on priorities. With everyone cross-trained, team members can step in to support one another—strengthening collaboration and ensuring tasks are completed with shared accountability.
For Stephanie, being engaged means always looking for ways to improve how her team works.
“I’m continuously reviewing current processes and help create ideas to replace manual processes with automation to improve efficiency, reduce errors, and increase productivity,”
This proactive mindset not only strengthens her department but also delivers better outcomes for both the team and NSB’s clients.
Having spent 27 years with NSB, Stephanie’s career and personal growth are deeply intertwined with the company.
